Metabolic Assessment
What to Expect During Your Assessment
Considering Ketogenic Therapy?
For individuals interested in ketogenic therapy for a mental health condition, the Metabolic Assessment serves as one possible starting point for care at MH².
Our team will evaluate whether ketogenic therapy is appropriate and safe for you, establish relevant baseline laboratory and body-composition measures, review medications and potential risks, assess your nutritional needs, and develop recommendations for implementing therapeutic ketosis when clinically appropriate.
Because ketogenic therapy used for mental health conditions is a medical intervention, our approach incorporates medical oversight, specialized nutritional guidance, laboratory monitoring, and coordination with your existing treatment when needed.

During your Treatment Recommendation Meeting, we’ll review your results, discuss factors affecting your metabolic and mental health, answer your questions, and provide clear short- and long-term recommendations.
Depending on your individual needs and goals, your plan may include ketogenic therapy, weight-management strategies, personalized nutrition, physical activity and fitness recommendations, sleep and lifestyle interventions, or other metabolic approaches to support your physical and mental health.
