Heather O’Brien, LICSW

Therapist

Before joining MH², Heather worked at McLean Hospital as a social worker on an inpatient unit specializing in bipolar and psychotic disorders, and most recently as a clinician at Dearborn Academy, a therapeutic day school for adolescents. She is trained in ERP through the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety, and she integrates various evidence-based therapeutic modalities into her work with clients based on their individual needs.

Heather’s interest in exploring the root causes of psychiatric illness began through her work with numerous individuals and families who were diagnosed with various inflammatory and medical conditions that caused and/or exacerbated their psychiatric symptoms. She is excited to join the team at MH² and continue to support patients and families in exploring the root causes of psychiatric conditions.
