Assessments
MH² Assessments
At MH², patients may begin with either our Advanced Assessment, Core Assessment, or Essential Assessment—three comprehensive, multidisciplinary evaluations designed to uncover the metabolic, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors influencing mental health. Both assessments lead to a personalized treatment recommendation created by our full clinical team.
Advanced Assessment
The Advanced Assessment is our most in-depth diagnostic experience. It begins with extensive pre-visit questionnaires and may include optional labs completed ahead of time. Patients then spend several days in the clinic meeting with each member of our multidisciplinary team—psychiatry, therapy, dietetics, health coaching, and medical support. This process allows us to explore the “why” behind symptoms, gathering a full picture of metabolic health, psychological patterns, lifestyle routines, cognitive functioning, social environment, and physical markers.
Family or support person input is also included to ensure we understand the patient within their real-world context.
Core Assessment
The Core Assessment utilizes a focused, multidisciplinary process centered on the essential components needed to understand a patient’s mental and metabolic health. Patients complete pre-visit questionnaires and participate in in-person appointments with psychiatry, therapy, and health coaching, along with standard biometrics, laboratory testing, and core clinical evaluations. The care team collaborates to develop integrated recommendations tailored to the patient’s individual needs. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s overall health and a personalized report outlining next steps, while remaining less intensive than our highest level assessment.
Essential Assessment
The Essential Assessment follows a streamlined version of the same process, focusing on the core elements necessary to understand a patient’s mental and metabolic health. Patients complete pre-visit questionnaires and then attend several in-person appointments over four days with psychiatry, therapy, and health coaching. Standard biometrics, labs, and cognitive testing are included, along with access to select group sessions during their visit.
While less intensive than the Advanced Assessment, it still delivers an integrated, multidisciplinary understanding of the patient’s health.
