Sonia Gooden-Alexis, Ed.D., is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at MH². She has over 20 years of experience serving diverse populations across multiple settings. Dr. Sonia Gooden-Alexis is an intensively trained Dialectical Behavior Therapist, with clinical interests that include trauma, addiction, crisis response, and working with individuals who struggle to access care, experience acute symptoms, and/or present with complex conditions.

Dr. Gooden-Alexis obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston, a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College, and a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University.

Dr. Gooden-Alexis was drawn to MH² because of its innovative work in emerging, evidence-informed approaches to mental health, as well as its alignment with her interest in holistic interventions.
