Psychotherapy at MH²

At MH², psychotherapy is more than just talk therapy—it’s part of a comprehensive, integrated approach to healing the whole person.

Depth of Expertise

Our clinicians bring decades of experience and have treated thousands of individuals across a wide spectrum of mental health conditions. Members of our team are highly trained in evidence-based modalities—including CBT, DBT, ACT, MBT, and ERP—and bring clinical precision, flexibility, and deep compassion to their work. This level of expertise allows us to tailor therapy to each individual’s needs, ensuring both fidelity to proven treatments and responsiveness to complex, real-world presentations.

Integration of Mental and Metabolic Health

Unlike traditional psychotherapy settings, MH² integrates mental health care with metabolic and physical health treatments. We recognize the profound connections between brain and body—how insulin resistance, inflammation, sleep, diet, and energy metabolism can directly impact mood, cognition, and behavior. Psychotherapists at MH² work side-by-side with psychiatrists, medical doctors, lifestyle medicine experts, and nutritionists to address the full picture of a person’s health. This holistic model allows us to uncover root causes of suffering and support sustained, meaningful recovery.

Psychotherapy Offerings

Individual Therapy

Oneonone sessions are provided by team of expert clinicians trained in ACT, DBT, CBT, MBT, ERP, and integrative models. Plans are individualized, goaloriented, and may be short or longterm.

Family Therapy

Mental illness affects not only individuals, but families. MH² offers one-on-one family therapy to strengthen communication, reduce conflict, and promote healing within the family system. We also provide structured group support for families of individuals with serious mental illness—creating a compassionate space for education, connection, and shared problem-solving. Our goal is to empower families as partners in recovery.

Group Therapy

Group offerings include DBT skills groups, ACT valuesbased living groups, MBT interpersonal process groups, and psychoeducational workshops on metabolic and brain health. Groups are structured to reinforce individual therapy goals and build peer support.

MH² Six‑Week Rotating Group Program

At MH², we offer a structured group therapy program designed to provide clients with targeted skills, strategies, and insights from four empirically supported treatment models: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mentalization‑Based Treatment (MBT). Groups meet for 50 minutes once per week, and each module runs for six consecutive weeks. Clients may enter at any time as we will review the material twice during a three-month period. Therefore, clients are encouraged to participate in multiple modules over time to gain a broad set of psychological tools. All groups are led by MH² clinicians trained in the specific modality, ensuring fidelity to the treatment model and individualized guidance within a group format.
