*Advanced assessment is automatically included with the Aurora and Foundations for Recovery programs.
Advanced Assessment
The Advanced Assessment is our most in-depth diagnostic experience. It begins with extensive pre-visit questionnaires and includes our advanced lab panel, and additional time with our clinical team. Patients spend two to three days in the clinic meeting with each member of our multidisciplinary care team—psychiatry, therapy, dietetics, health coaching, and medical evaluations. This process allows us to explore the “why” behind symptoms, gathering a full picture of mental health, metabolic health, psychological patterns, lifestyle routines, cognitive functioning, social environment, and physical biomarkers.
Family input is also included to ensure we understand the patient within their real-world context.
Core Assessment
The Core Assessment utilizes a focused, multidisciplinary process centered on the essential components needed to understand a patient’s mental and metabolic health. Patients complete pre-visit questionnaires and participate in in-person appointments with psychiatry, therapy, and health coaching, along with core biometrics, laboratory testing, and clinical evaluations. The care team collaborates to develop integrated recommendations tailored to the patient’s individual needs.
It provides a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s overall health and a personalized report outlining next steps, while remaining less intensive than our Advanced Assessment.
Essential Assessment
The Essential Assessment follows a streamlined version of the same process ideal for people with more mild to moderate health concerns, led by our psychiatric nurse practitioner, it focuses on the essential elements necessary to understand a patient’s mental and metabolic health. Patients complete pre-visit questionnaires and then attend in-person appointments with our psychiatric nurse practitioner, psychotherapist, and health coach. Essential biometrics, labs, and cognitive testing are included.
Ketogenic Therapy Assessment
The Ketogenic Therapy Assessment is one entry point for accessing ketogenic therapy through MH². This comprehensive evaluation determines whether ketogenic therapy is appropriate, safe, and likely to be beneficial based on your medical history, psychiatric symptoms, current treatments, and metabolic health.
Rather than assuming ketogenic therapy is the right approach for everyone, our interdisciplinary team carefully evaluates each person to ensure recommendations are evidence-informed and individualized.
Psychiatric Intake
The Psychiatric Intake is a 60-minute medical evaluation with our psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner that looks at biological, psychological, and lifestyle contributors to your mental health. Your clinician will assess your symptoms, review your history and lab work, and discuss medication or metabolic interventions if appropriate—helping design a coordinated care plan with treatment recommendations at the end of the session.
Treatment Recommendation Meeting & Next Steps
After your appointments are complete, our team meets to integrate all findings into a cohesive diagnostic picture and prioritize the most important contributors to your symptoms. During the Treatment Recommendation Meeting, you’ll review:
-
Key findings from each discipline
-
Diagnostic impressions
-
Your personalized treatment plan
-
Short-term and long-term recommendations
From there, patients will be recommended for the following: Aurora Program, Foundations Program, Team-Based Care, Individual outpatient sessions or groups, or to take these recommendations to your local team.
